Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping)

This simple method of tapping on the acupuncture meridians and using phrases to release beliefs and unwanted emotions stored in the body. It has been proven to be very effective and long lasting, without retraumatizing the body and mind.

E.M.D.R. – Eye Movements Desensitization and Reprocessing

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing technique is a very effective way to release traumas stored in the body. It has been shown that trauma limits one’s ability to move forward with passion and purpose. Many clients start therapy with the feeling they are not living life fully. This is also a great therapy for phobias and compulsive behaviors.

Inquiry

Inquiry is a gentle process of exploring the thoughts and emotions that cause distress. By slowing down and questioning the beliefs that fuel your suffering, space opens up—for insight, healing, and meaningful change. What once felt like a fixed reality can begin to shift, revealing new possibilities and more compassionate ways of relating to yourself and the world.
Through inquiry, you can access your inner wisdom and discover grounded, creative paths toward greater calm, emotional balance, and well-being.

Guided Visualizations
Compassion and Mindfulness Training

This is a simple yet powerful approach for shifting mental states that may be clouded by stress or negativity. Research consistently shows that guided visualizations are highly effective in supporting positive change. When you vividly imagine a calming or uplifting experience, your mind begins to respond as if it's real—making space for new, more empowering patterns to emerge.
This practice is especially helpful for soothing anxiety, calming racing thoughts, and regulating the nervous system in response to triggering events. I work with clients to integrate meditation in accessible, meaningful ways. Emerging research highlights that combining mindfulness with self-compassion in daily life can significantly enhance emotional resilience and mental clarity. Even the small act of pausing to take a conscious breath before reacting can be a profound and life-changing shift.

Sound Healing

Most useful in combination with other modalities to calm and balance the body and release blocked energy that is causing physical and emotional disturbances. This is an excellent way to bypass the mind and directly rebalance the body’s energy.

How are these types of Therapy different?

Many individuals turn to alternative therapies to address mental health challenges such as anxiety or other mood-related symptoms. Anxiety can range from mild unease—like a quickened heartbeat in social situations—to more intense experiences that interfere with daily life. Depression and other mood disorders may also reflect imbalances or disruptions in the body's energy system.
Techniques such as self-inquiry, guided meditation, and visualization focus on addressing the emotional and behavioral symptoms of these energetic disturbances. These tools can be especially supportive for individuals coping with anxiety or a history of trauma. By bringing mindful attention to a specific experience or memory, and incorporating gentle tapping on acupressure points, clients can learn to calm the nervous system and foster greater emotional balance.
